1. What are the hours of your school?
Our school hours are from 9:30-1:30 Monday through Friday. We have extended hours
at an additional cost from 7:15-4:30.
2. What is the cost of your extended day?
The morning session is $5.00 per day. There are two afternoon sessions. From 1:30-3:00
is $4.00, and from 3:00-4:30 is another $4.00. If you use the full extended day,
the cost is $13.00 per day.
3. How much will I owe when I register my child?
If you register before the school year begins, you will only owe a $90.00 registration
fee. If you register during the school year, you will owe the $90.00 registration
fee, a supply fee $15 per day registered (billed in July and January), a month in
advance tuition, and the current month tuition.
4. When is my first tuition payment due?
The first tuition payment is due August 1st. We bill one month in advance, therefore
in May, you will not have a tuition payment.
5. When is monthly tuition due?
Tuition is due on the first day of the month. After the 10th of the month, payment
is considered late, and a $15.00 late charge will be incurred.
6. How do I sign my child up for extended care?
Fill out the extended care registration form, and turn in to the financial secretary
with a $20.00 registration fee. Mark if you want your child to be a regular attendee
or an occasional attendee. If you are an occasional attendee, a parent will need
to call each time extended care is needed. If you are a regular attendee, a parent
will call only if they want to cancel extended care. Parents will be charged if
they do not cancel extended care – 7:30 a.m. for early care, and 12:00 noon for
late care.
7. Can I “drop in” my child?
“Drop ins” are available only for Mother’s Day Out children. “Drop ins” are allowed
if space is available. Parents need to call the school to schedule a “drop in.”
There is a $20.00 fee per “drop in,” if the child is already registered in the program,
or a $24.00 charge if the child is not registered in the program.
8. Can I get a refund when my child withdraws?
All registration fees are non-refundable unless a child moves out of the area and
submits their withdrawal to the school in writing before school begins. With a two-week
written notice pre-paid fees can be refunded. Most refunds take two to three weeks
to process.
9. If I need to leave the program temporarily, can I hold the spot for my child?
Children leaving the program temporarily for any reason during the school year must
continue to pay tuition in order to “hold the spot.”
10. Does my child need to bring a lunch and snack every day?
Lakeside does not provide any food service, therefore parents will need to send
a lunch each day. If a child is staying past 3:00 in extended care, they will need
a snack as well. If a child in our twos classes and younger come to early care,
a morning snack is suggested that will be given at 9:30 a.m.
11. What kind of food does my child need to bring for lunch?
Due to time and space, we do not heat or refrigerate any food. Please send foods
and containers which require a minimum of adult assistance for your child to open,
eat and dispose of. Please only send “light” colored drinks. Mother’s Day Out children
should bring a sippy cup with the child’s name clearly marked on it.
12. What if I want to do something at school for my child’s birthday?
We do not do “birthday parties,” however, parents may contact their child’s teacher
to see about sending a “birthday snack.” All snacks must be prepared in a commercially
approved kitchen and be individually wrapped.
13. What if my child needs to take medicine?
If your child will be here for the 4 hour school day, we ask parents to give the
medicine to the child before and after school. If your child is staying for the
extended day, a “medicine form” will need to be filled out and given to the director
along with the medicine in a Ziploc bag. All medicines must be in the original prescription
bottle.
14. What supplies does my child need?
Each child needs a back pack that is large enough to put a folder that the child
will bring home each day. MDO children need a clear backpack. A change of clothes
needs to be included in the backpack. Children in diapers and pull-ups will need
to bring enough for the school day. All clothes and diapers should be clearly marked
with your child’s name.
15. Will my child receive Bible training?
Yes, Bible is part of the daily curriculum for all ages. The kindergarten classes
(3’s, 4’s and 5’s) will go to a chapel service once a week.
16. Do I have to sign up for the full 6 weeks of Summer Live?
No, there is a June block and a July block. Parents can sign their children up for
either or both. Tuition for a 3 week block of Summer Live, is due a week prior to
the first day of the block.
