Senior Pastor

Rev Breck Ladd became the Senior Pastor of Lakeside Baptist Church in April of 2009. Originally from Mississippi, he is a graduate of Mississippi State University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. At age 17 at First Baptist Church of Monticello, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. While a student at Mississippi State University majoring in secondary education and serving at R.A. Camp, Bro. Breck accepted God's call to fulltime ministry. It was also at MSU that he met Laura Bumagin, whom he would marry in 1997. The Lord has blessed Breck and Laura with three beautiful children Philip Andrew (2001), Caleb Samuel (2003), and Julia Abigal (2007).

Upon graduation from MSU In 1996, Bro Breck entered the Masters of Divinity program at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2000, he graduated with a specialization in Biblical Languages and was honored with the Outstanding Student Award for his class' academic year. Bro Breck has also earned postgraduate hours from the University of Southern Mississippi and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Bro. Breck has served churches in Mississippi and Alabama. He has served as Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, Family Pastor, Executive Pastor, and Senior Pastor in his previous churches. He has also had the privilege of being active in the local Baptist Associations where he served.

The mission field is also close to our pastor's heart and foundational to his philosophy of ministry. He has served on mission teams in North America and globally in Northern Ireland, Philippines, Guatemala, and Argentina. Our pastor's passion in life is glorifying God through his personal walk and declaring Christ as God, Savior, and King, while disciplining others in His service. His desire is to make disciples who will carry the Gospel from their homes to the rest of the world. Central to this is the responsibility to study the Bible and passionately teach the people.
