Donald Martin accepted the call as Lakeside Baptist Church's Children's Minister in November of 2005. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 1998. In December 2002, he graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas with a Master of Arts in Christian Education.
Donald accepted the call to ministry while serving as a Summer Missionary for the Baptist General Convention of Texas in 1996 at the age of 21 years. He was ordained to the ministry by First Baptist Church of George West, Texas in November of 2002. He has previously served as Children's Minister at First Baptist Church of George West, Texas and Southside Baptist Church of Dothan. Alabama. In addition, he has served in various Children's Ministries at Glenview Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Texas, Solid Rock Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Texas, and Wedgwood Baptist Church of Fort
Worth, Texas.
Donald seeks to serve our Lord and His church by ministering to children and partnering with their families in the development of their spiritual life through evangelism and discipleship. He uses his spiritual gifts of teaching, mercy and shepherding to help children know God's Word, feelings love, and grow in obedience to Him. Bro. Donald married Tina (Russell) of Meridian, Mississippi in June of 1999. Together they have two children, Sarah Ree and Ethan.
