Social feeds connects you with the information you need. Feeds are specially formatted documents that allow you to get the latest news through an RSS client like Google Reader, listen to the latest sermon through iTunes, watch video on your iphone, get updates from Twitter on your cellphone, or meet church family of Facebook.

Audio Podcasting

Podcasting simply put is a collection of digital media files, which are distributed using syndications often for playback on a portable device. Podcasting is available to a wide range of devices marketed by Apple, Microsoft, or any MP3 player that has the ability to synchronize with a PC or Mac. Twitter has gained popularity over the past year as one of the most used micro-blogging services. We use Twitter as an event reminder service, posting new updates three days prior to an event. News & Calendar Feeds

Lakeside offer to news feeds. The first is a listing of all upcoming events which are show on the Lakeside homepage. The second is a detailed listing of all scheduled church events based on the church calendar. There are a number of applications and website available to view these feeds. Sites like Google (thru Google Reader) and Yahoo will allow users to add RSS feeds to their personalizable homepages. Many free software applications are also available.
