Mothers Of PreSchoolers or MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. MOPS helps moms through relationships established in the context of local groups that provide a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children.
Why MOPS?
Mothers of PreSchoolers is a great way to get involved in your community. This ministry realizes your primary goal is rasing your child; however, in addition to focusing on family, we focus on growing a Christ lead community. The MOPS Ministry at Lakeside focus on four goals. These goals include: Celebrating motherhood, Meeting needs, Making Connections, and Experiencing God’s love...through relationships and resources.
Meetings
MOPS meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month during the school year. MOPS does not meet in the summer. Please be reminded that Registration is required for all moms with preschoolers prior to attending a MOPS meeting. For more information, please contact the church office at 822-1240.
MOPS International
MOPS International has a commitment to organization excellence by conduction all events and activities in accordance with Biblical principles, sound management, personal and organizational integrity, financial stewardship, empowerment of the staff to accomplish organizational outcomes. Through relationships with local churches, embracing a diverse population of many denominations, MOPS is able to reach out to a large group of individuals across the country. Through values in dignity, women, relationships, lifestyle evangelism, and leadership development, MOPS strives to equip women with confidence in their ability to lead others. In addition, the ideal embracing a close personal relationship with Jesus Christ is embraced.
Meeting the Needs of Mom
MOPS groups are simply communities striving to meet the need of moms with children from birth through kindergarten. All moms – urban, rural, stay-at-home, working, teen, single, and married – can share in this Christ lead experience. Across the United States and 35 countries, more than 3900 MOPS groups meet to celebrate the joys of motherhood. These meeting provide encouragement in personal motivation and focus on discussion, teaching, creative activities and moppets.
