The WMU RENEW Conference is Febrary 25, 2012 at Westwood Baptist in Alabaster from 9:00am to 3:15pm. The cost is $35 and includes lunch. Sign up at the WOM meetings or by contacting the church office. February 6 is the deadline. Come experience connection and the community of friends.

The sanctuary orchestra also leads in worship every Sunday and in seasonal programs. In order to participate in this ensemble, you must have at least played your instrument through high school or college or currently be playing. There is a place for any interested in serving the Lord through playing your instrument.
New Life Singers

The New Life Singers is a senior adult choir that sings only Southern Gospel music. This choir enjoys leading in worship at Lakeside on occasion and also has opportunities to minister in our community through song. There is always an open seat for new members.
Glory Conference

On February 24, a trip is planned to the Glory Conference at Snead College. This conference will feature Frank Jones as pianist and host, Christian comedian Dennis Swanberg, Pad in Full quartet, and Eden's Rain ladies duo. This is an all day trip leaving the church at 10:00am. The cost is $22.

Student Spring Break

During spring break we are offering a trip to Walt Disney World for all middle and high school students. We plan to leave at 8:00am Monday, March 19 and return Friday, March 23. The cost of the trip is $600 per person. A $100 per person despit is due by Sunday, January 15. The final balance is due February 29.

Zumba Time

Our Tuesday night Zumba class started back January 3rd at 7:15pm. Our Friday morning class started January 6th at 9:45am. The cost is $4 per class. Childcare is no longer provided.
Medical Center Apartment Ministry

Volunteers are needed to make and/or take meals to the BBA Apartments at UAB. Our church is assigned the second Wednesday of each month. If you are interested in helping, please contact the church office.
Around the Clock

The Middle School Ministry will have our first annual lock-in on Friday, March 2. We will meet at the church at 8:00pm and won't stop for twelve hours. We'll have food, games, tournaments, and best of all... no sleep until 8:00am on Saturday.
Southern Museum of Flight

The Boy's Club will be going to the Southern Museum of Flight Saturday, March 3 from 1:30-3:30pm. The cost is $5 per person. Reservations through the Childhood Ministry office are required. Contact the church office at 822-1240 for more information.
GA Coffeehouse

Please join us for the GA Coffeehouse on Sunday, March 4 after the evening service. Our GA will be serving goodies and coffee. You will also have the opportunity to donate to a mission offering. This year the girls prayerfully chose the Alabama Baptist Children's Home to receive the offering. Come and support them.
Weekday Education Ministry

Registration for the 2012-2013 school year for the Weekday Education ministry will be February 8th and 9th in the Chapel from 10:00-12:00 noon. Registration forms can be found on the Kindergarten page. Ages 6 (by September 1) through 5K.
