At Lakeside, we strive to focus on five fundamentals of faith. These foundationds include Worship, Discipleship, Ministry, Evangelism, and Fellowship. We offer a variety of activities to help grow your spiritual walk. If you are interested in more information about ministries or looking for indepth information about a certain ministry not available on our website; feel free to contact the church office at 822-1240. They will be glad to provide you with any resources we have available. If you would like to be visited by Bro. Worship
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalm 100:4
Worship is an integral part of Lakeside. There are three Sunday services each week: 8:00am, 10:30am, and 6:00pm. The Worship experience encompasses choral hymns and songs, praise music, and a message. Each aspect is designed to help grow and nurish your spiritual journey in Christ. Discipleship
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. Deuteronmy 6:5
Christian discipleship is a process of spiritual growth in the Lord Jesus Christ. Disciples are equipped by the Holy Spirit, who resides in their hearts, to overcome the pressures and trials of this present life. We strive to live Christlike by respond to the Holy Spirit’s prompting to examine our thoughts, words and actions and compare them with the Word of God. At Lakeside, we offer disciple oriented classes to help develop this walk with Christ. These classes are offered on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursday in both the mornings and evenings. Before or while attending a class, we ivite you to take our online spiritual gift survey. This survey can help you narrow down on your God given talents and gifts. We look forward to helping you become active in sharing Christ throughout your community as well as becoming involved in Lakeside's family of faith.
Ministry
The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself.There is no commandment greater than these. Mark 12:31
We offer a variety of age specific ministry opportunities. From Sunday school to missions trips, come find your place among our family of faith. Evangelism
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8
Evangelism is the joyous witness to non-believers of God’s redeeming love, which urges repentance and reconciliation to God and each other through faith in Jesus Christ. Evangelism is all about love. Local minstry projects are a top priority. Wether a prayer walk at Rocky Ridge Elementary or ministrying to the Rocky Ridge Fire Department, we want to be a part of the community. Come and be a part
Fellowship
All the believers were together and had everything in common. Acts 2:44
Fellowship with the family of God and with God Himself is one of the greatest blessings of being a Christian. True fellowship is found in unity of the heart, spirit and understanding which can only come from a mutual acceptance of Biblical authority and a mutual love for the truth. The aspect of Fellowship is important at Lakeside. Social activites, church wide dinners, and Sunday school class outings help develop the appropiate atmospehre for fellowship along our family of faith. Join us on a Wednesday night and enjoy some fellowship and a great meal in our Family Life Center, or become involved in a supper club or Sunday school class.
