Royal Ambassadors is a well-balanced mission education organization designed to help boys meet spiritual, social, mental, and physical needs. While teaching on-mission principles is the focus of the organization, leading the boy to understand his role in the world today by living for Christ helps him both now and in adulthood. By being concerned with the world around him, a boy can, in turn, extend the church's concern to people beyond its doors. Where did we get the name? "Royal Ambassadors" came from 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 which describes our purpose. While the RA motto is found in verse 20, the other verses sum up Paul's declaration of why we need to be ambassadors for Christ.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5

An Amazing Evangelistic Tool

Royal Ambassadors is a powerful evangelistic tool. It can be the bridge needed to reach a boy for Christ. Teaching about God's world and the boy's place in it will help make clear to the child his place and purpose. The RA Pledge states As a Royal Ambassador, I will do my best to become a well-informed, responsible follower of Christ. If we want children to become mission minded adults, we must guide them in that direction. Proverbs 22:6 instructs is to begin at an early age, guiding them in right behavior.

Always On Mission

Becoming an on-mission child is an upward, inward, outward, and forward process, a continuing process that is limited only by your child's willingness to grow. Each part of the Royal Ambassador's shield represents a special truth. The shield stands for faith in Christ. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one (Eph. 6:16). It represents the journey of faith and a commitment to having faith in Christ. The crown symbolizes Christ the King and what He represents. Our priority is to remain focused on Jesus and His message to the world. Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him (Jas. 1:12). And last, the branch is for achievement and victory in the work of being an Ambassador for Christ. "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' (Matt. 25:21).
